Mela’s debut solo album & vinyl release is slated for March 27, 2026. Mela Lee’s soaring four octave range and unique sound have been compared to Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, King Princess, and Florence + the Machine Lee’s voice is instantly recognizable, hypnotic and utterly addictive. The late Andrae Crouch said of Lee, “She has the voice of an angel and can break the heart of heaven”.

Mela Lee was formerly known as the lead vocalist and songwriter/ composer for the LA breakout band, Magnolia Memoir, whose last three albums (Pale Fire, The Perfect Crime, and Steal the Stars) are available on bandcamp.

COMPOSER

Mela composes for Film, Television, and the Gaming & Graphic Novel world. Mela got her start as a music composer for Lorne Michael’s company, Broadway Video – writing and singing the theme song for the cult web series, “7 Minutes in Heaven with Mike O’Brien” and appearing on O’Brien’s Comedy Album release “Tasty Radio” with SNL alum Jason Sudeikis, Scarlett Johansson, Bill Hader & Seth Meyers.
