FRENCH RIVIERA – The Dream Begins – I closed my eyes and asked myself, “what if i had stayed? what if I’d said, yes”… Born in the late hours with writing partner, Alexander Burke, as he played a haunting melody line on the Juno keyboard after a session at The Village Studios in LA. The words and song poured out as a love letter never sent. A promised kiss never spent. For 3 minutes and 33 seconds this song becomes a prayer. A hypnotic calling to the love who left their breath on my skin. “French Riviera” is the first track on my first vinyl release, “Stealing Moonlight” – an 8 song exploration of the moonlight side of love and the ebb & flow of the aftermath. I stole moments of moonlight to get me through the darkest part of the longest night. Shades of King Princess, Lana del Rey, and Kate Bush.
The project is meant to be a meditation. A calling to the place you most want to visit. Where your heart finds home – in this life or the next.
